itinerary-ish
Well, we now know that the travel phase of our trip "will include travel to Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Mysore, Thiruvananthpuram, Kolkata, Varanasi and Agra." Sniff! No AFJ!
At some point I'm going to be able to sleep, right? Like maybe when I'm back? Because it sure isn't happening now. This has got to be the most superwow thing ever. Ever.

If you get the Travel Channel, look for the Anthony Bourdain series No Reservations. Despite the title, he's not talking about affirmative action in India, but rather eating and traveling.
The past 2 Mondays at 10pm EST they ran an episode with him in Rajasthan, and then the second one in Calcutta and Bombay.
The best part of the show is his dry, self-deprecating humour, and I like the way he's open and honestly says what he likes, but also expresses what doesn't appeal to him (but gracefully, and often, humourously so). The graphic he narrated over to explain cricket was roll on the floor funny. On the whole, it was much better than the 2-episode Jeremy Piven show where he was fawning over EVERYTHING. Ugh! No country is perfect, not India either, and there's no reason to pretend it is.
Given how they keep re-running stuff on all these channels, I bet the 2 No Reservations India shows will be on again.
